Overview

Monk Mode is a personal habit-tracking web application. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Monk Mode is operated by an individual (contact: will@br3ton.com) and is not affiliated with Google.

Information we collect

  • Google account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile image. Your email address is used as the unique identifier for your account so your data loads on any device.
  • Content you create. The challenges, habits, daily check-ins, scores, and reflection notes you enter into the app are stored so the app can show them back to you and calculate your progress.

How we use your information

Your information is used solely to operate the app: to authenticate you, to store and display the habits and challenges you create, and to compute your statistics and streaks. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.

Where your data is stored

Account and challenge data is stored in a hosted PostgreSQL database (Neon) and the app is served through Vercel. Authentication is handled through Google OAuth. These providers process data only to the extent required to run the service.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete any challenge and its associated logs from within the app at any time. To have your entire account and all associated data permanently deleted, email will@br3ton.com from the address associated with your account and the data will be removed.
